The main aim of this course is to help trainees use the Harmonized System (HS) Nomenclature in a consistent and effective manner and thus facilitate the classification of internationally traded goods.

Objectives:

  • Introduce trainees to the main categories of commodities included in various Sections of the HS Nomenclature and the approach to their classification.
  • Explain some of the most frequent and common challenges encountered by HS users when classifying commodities of various categories.
