In application of Article 13.1 of the EU Council Directive 2006/112/CE on the common system of the value added tax, all orders for goods and services provided by the WCO are invoiced exclusive of VAT since the WCO is regarded as non-taxable person in respect to the activities or transactions in which it engages as public authority within its scope of activity defined in the Convention of 15 December 1950 establishing a Customs Co-operation Council, even where it collects dues, fees, contributions or payments in connection with those activities or transactions.
Advancing Gender Equality in Customs
This course provides a general introduction to the concept of gender equality and its link to the work of Customs. Through interactive exercises, you will be able to learn how gender equality practically can be implemented in Customs and also get an overview of the initiatives launched by the WCO to support this agenda.
The last module, “Implementing Gender Equality” is designed for middle- and senior managers as well as human resource practitioners and aims at providing an introduction to gender mainstreaming and inclusiveness.
This course can be used as a stand-alone awareness-raising activity, but also as an introduction to the one-week workshop targeting middle- and senior managers focusing on human resource management and gender mainstreaming.
